💰 Application Fee
- UR / OBC / EWS: ₹500 (₹400 refunded after CBT-1)

✅ Requirements
- Matriculation (10th) + ITI from NCVT/SCVT recognized institute OR
- Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in prescribed trades OR
- Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile Engineering
🛠 Responsibilities
- Assist in driving and operating locomotives
- Perform regular technical checks and maintenance
- Ensure safety and adherence to railway protocols
📚 Selection Process
- Stage 1: CBT-1 (Computer Based Test – Screening)
- 75 questions, 60 minutes
- Objective type with negative marking (1/3rd for each wrong answer)
- Stage 2: CBT-2 (Part A & Part B)
- Part A: 100 questions, 90 minutes — counted for merit
- Part B: 75 questions, 60 minutes — qualifying only (minimum 35%)
- Negative marking applies in both parts
- Stage 3: CBAT (Computer Based Aptitude Test)
- Only for ALP post
- No negative marking; must qualify each test battery with a minimum T-score of 42
- Stage 4: Document Verification & Medical Fitness Test
- Final Merit: Based on 70% weightage from CBT-2 Part A and 30% from CBAT
